Bausele has always had a strong ‘defense’ gene in its DNA ever since it was founded in 2011. The brand originally provided limited edition watches for the Australian Intelligence Corps and the Special Operations Engineers Regiment, and that was before beating out some of the biggest watch names in the world to become the official watch of the Royal Australian Air Force 100th Anniversary in 2021.

Bausele was also the official watch of the Invictus Gamesheld in The Hague in April 2022. This global adaptive sports competition is dedicated to inspiring recovery, supporting rehabilitation and generating a wider understanding and respect for wounded and injured Servicemen and Servicewomen, both serving and veterans

This classic field watch, reference 31101, meets the standards described in detail for the watch case construction, shape and size on page 31 of military specifications MIL-W-46374F (hence the first two digits of the watch reference). It features a 316L surgical grade stainless-steel case (untreated or with black DLC coating), a dial and hands with “old radium” Luminova®, and a domed sapphire crystal with five layers of anti-reflective coating. The automatic, hacking movement (pull the crown and the movement stops so the watch can be synchronized with another timekeeper) is reputed for its precision, reliability and durability. It has 24 jewels, a 41-hour power reserve and is accurate to within -20/+40 seconds per day.

The crown on Ref. 31101 contains soil from Omaha Beach - Vierville sur Mer in Normandy – visible through the transparent crown cap.

“It makes every watch truly a one-off, but perhaps more importantly, it’s a way to feel connected with the spirit behind the watch.”

Rugged crushproof case.

Your gracious support, through this purchase directly assists Sabot Foundation with vital mental health programs for veterans, to help eliminate Veteran Suicide, expand the need for suicide awareness and provide urgent assistance to veterans who are "at-risk" to suicide.

Sabot Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Charitable Trust focusing on Veteran Suicide Prevention, Suicide Awareness and Veterans who are at-risk to suicide. Over 38,000 veterans have succumbed to suicide post 9/11 (VA 2022 Suicide Report) in addition, the 2022 study by Duke University and The University of Alabama in association with American Warrior Partnership (Operation Deep Dive), found that suicide rates amongst veterans are higher. In the same study, research shows suicides rates are 52.3% higher among veterans than those who never served in the military.

Sabot Foundation is part of a forefront advocating for policies, tools and programs that promote and offer solutions for mental wellness in the veteran community. The importance of mental health cannot be overstated for veterans because, in addition to the typical stressors of life, veterans experience additional psychological burdens resulting from their service. In addition to other programs Sabot (as part of the Veterans Mental Health Coalition) provides a platform for veterans to voice their concerns and advocate for alternative therapies , with the purpose to engage policymakers. Sabot also conducts advocacy and outreach campaigns that are conducted to create awareness on mental health and the availability of intervention services. Such initiatives on a national level have led to increased budget allocation for mental health, and for grants to support vital mental health and suicide prevention programs.

Sabot created VARE (Veterans Assistance Recovery and Empowerment) as a highly effective transformative health and wellness retreat. VARE is a structured empowerment and wellness program involving medical professionals, mentors, therapists, alternative wellness professionals and a network of care professionals who support the foundation in its goal to assist veterans who have run the course of traditional options.

VARE retreats have taken place in several states focusing on veterans in need. The program centers on signature issues involving MTBI, MST, PTS, Anxiety, Depression that offer a variety of holistic healing methods and modalities, including integration tools. VARE provides a therapeutic environment to help all participants reconnect, navigate challenges, help family members learn and understand Post Traumatic Stress and recognize suicide ideation, as well as how to work together in challenging times to restore community and family unity that they will benefit from these holistic retreats to transition to a healthy lifestyle.

VARE is an imperative program that relies strictly on donors for assistance so that many veterans have the ability to participate. These retreats are not eligible for any reimbursements or other health care benefits.
