It has been over 70 years since the RAAF commissioned a watch. We have built this watch using the same Swiss manufacturing techniques as the original watches, now worth many times their original value as collector’s items and designed by IWC and Jaeger LeCoultre.
The clean look of the dial with large hands makes it very easy to read.
The RAAF Centenary logo creates a unique collector’s edition keepsake.
The second hand has been designed in the shape of a F/A-18 Hornet.
The Dial features a count up function actioned by the crown at 2 o'clock which turns the multi-directional inner ring. The purpose of the count up is to track elapsed time.
On the blue and white dial, the 21 minutes are highlighted - signifying the Air Force's establishment and centenary years: 1921-2021.
The watch back includes a piece cut directly from aircraft number A21-01, the first F/A-18A Hornet fighter jet made and flown in Australia.
It features Broad Arrow next to the limited-edition number. Each watch is individually numbered.
The waterproof strap is made of high- performance recycled PET plastic which has been reinforced and designed to last. Additional straps are easily self-changeable, making it a superbly versatile watch.
The watch is secured by the most efficient deployed buckle, used by luxury brands.
