The Made-to-Order Process

How does made-to-order work?

The Bausele Elemental is a made-to-order watch produced in limited quantities. We assemble and test every watch by hand, and only after meeting our quality standards will you find your Elemental on your wrist.

Can I cancel my order?

If the order book is still open you can request a full refund by contacting us at info@bausele.com. Once the order book closes and production begins your order cannot be cancelled.

Why does it take 12–15 weeks?

We don't keep inventory. Each watch is assembled, tested, and finished to order. This includes sourcing your specific Australian element (sand, earth, rubber), regulating the Swiss movement, water resistance testing to 200M, and quality control checks. Good things take time.

Can I make changes to my order after placing it?

We can accommodate some changes before order books close. Contact us immediately at info@bausele.com if you wish to modify your order.

How will I know when my watch ships?

You'll receive production updates via email throughout the production process, plus a tracking number when your watch ships.

Do you ever have watches in stock?

Some Bausele watches are in stock available for immediate delivery, you can browse them here. These watches ship within 3–5 business days.

Warranty & Service

What warranty do you offer?

All Bausele watches come with a 2 year international warranty from the date of delivery, covering manufacturing defects and mechanical faults under normal use.

What does the warranty cover?

• Manufacturing defects

• Mechanical faults

• Movement failures

• Water resistance failures under recommended operating conditions

What does the warranty NOT cover?

• Accidental damage

• Normal wear and tear such as scratches, strap wear and case marks

• Damage from improper use or storage

• Water damage if crown was not properly secured. To maintain your watch's water resistance, the winding crown has to be screwed down tightly to create a hermetic seal. After wearing your watch in the ocean, its important to rinse it with fresh water to remove any salt.

• Theft or loss

• Damage from unauthorised service or repair

How do I make a warranty claim?

Contact us at info@bausele.com with your order number, photos, and a description of the issue. We'll arrange service or repair at no cost if covered under warranty.

How long does warranty service take?

Typically 4–6 weeks depending on the issue and parts availability.

How often should I service my Bausele watch?

We recommend servicing every 5–7 years to maintain optimal performance. Automatic movements benefit from regular servicing to keep the lubricants fresh and the movement running smoothly.

Product Details

What movement do you use?

We use Swiss automatic movements, primarily Sellita, known for reliability and serviceability. Movement varies by model, check the product page for specific details.

What does "Swiss movement" mean? Is it Swiss Made?

It varies by Bausele model. The Elemental Collection features Swiss movements but is not "Swiss Made" certified. This allows us to offer exceptional quality at attainable prices. Some of our other models (including select Sydney Diver and bespoke editions) are Swiss Made certified.

Check the product page for specific details on each watch.

What are the Australian Elements in the crown?

Each Bausele watch features a physical piece of Australia sealed in the crown chamber.

The element of choice differs for each model, some examples are:

• Sand from Bondi Beach

• Volcanic black sand from Kiama Beach

• Red earth from the Australian Outback

• Bathurst 12 Hour race tire rubber from Mount Panorama circuit

• Custom elements for bespoke projects

The crown chamber is sealed and water resistant to 200 meters.

Can I swim with my Bausele watch?

Yes! All Elemental and Sydney Diver models are water resistant to 200 meters (20 ATM), suitable for swimming, snorkelling and recreational diving.

Always ensure the crown is fully screwed down before submerging in water for the watch to be hermetically sealed and always rinse salt or sand off your watch in fresh water after swimming.

What size wrist does the bracelet fit?

Our steel bracelets fit wrists from approximately 15cm to 20cm (6" to 8"). The bracelet features on-the-fly micro-adjust built into the clasp, allowing you to fine-tune the fit without tools.

Can I get extra links for the bracelet?

Yes! Contact us at info@bausele.com and we can arrange additional links where needed.

Do you offer other strap options?

Yes! Bausele Straps are available on our Accessories page.

Care & Maintenance

How do I wind my automatic watch?

All Bausele watches are automatic, which wind themselves through wrist motion. If your watch has stopped, you can manually wind it by unscrewing the crown and turning it clockwise 20–30 times, then wear it regularly to keep it running.

My watch is running fast/slow. Is this normal?

Automatic watches can vary by -10 to +20 seconds per day, depending on wearing patterns, position, and state of wind. If your watch is running outside this range, contact us.

Can my watch get magnetized?

Yes, magnetic fields from phones, laptops, and speakers can magnetise your watch and affect accuracy. If you suspect your watch has been magnetised, most watchmakers can demagnetise your watch in minutes.

How do I clean my watch?

Use a soft, slightly damp cloth for the case and bracelet. For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and water, ensuring crown is screwed down. Avoid harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners.

How do I care for my leather strap?

Keep leather straps as dry as possible and avoid prolonged sun exposure to prevent discolouration. Clean with a damp cloth and mild leather cleaner, not water. Leather straps are wear items and will eventually need replacement.
