Angus of AHW Studio
Makers is a series about the people building something worth paying attention to. Their craft, their world, and the moment in the day they call their own.
From behind a camera to the workbench
Angus's path to fine jewellery started behind a camera, not a workbench. Graphic design and photography first, watchmaking and gemology later. Today he runs AHW Studio, a bespoke family jewellery business in the heart of Sydney's Strand Arcade, where sourcing the right gemstone can take as long as making the piece itself.
His favourite hour comes after closing. When the arcade goes quiet, the shutters come down, and the real work can begin.
Some rings tell time. Angus's tells a story.
Solid rose gold on the outside. A 1960s Omega movement on the inside, its face preserved, its hands quietly set to the hour that matters most. It is the kind of piece that takes patience most people never see.
Makers don't just craft objects. They hide entire histories inside them.
Why we tell these stories
Bausele is built on the same idea. Real people, real craft, and small details that carry meaning. That is what Makers is about, and it is what we build into every watch.
