In 2021, the Royal Australian Air Force marked 100 years of service to Australia. Bausele was chosen to create two bespoke watches for the Centenary: the Aviator and the Airfield, designed in close collaboration with the Air Force 2021 team. Both watches sold out on pre-order. 1,000 units. Chief of Air Force Air Marshal Mel Hupfeld and his wife Louise personally visited our Sydney store to receive their pieces. Royalties from the programme were directed to the Air Force Museum, contributing to the restoration of a former search and rescue vessel for public display.
"Your enthusiasm for military watches and embrace of the Air Force Centenary brought style, quality and vision to the program."
Air Commodore AR Elfverson, Director General Air Force 2021
In 2026, the Royal Australian Regiment marked 75 years of service. Bausele was chosen to design two commemorative watches: the Classic Field and the Sydney Diver. Each carried the 75th Anniversary badge, the Regiment's operational history engraved on the caseback, and Regimental colours across the dial. Most significantly, each crown held sand from Gallipoli: a physical link to the origins of the Australian infantry. Proceeds from the programme were returned to the Royal Australian Regiment Foundation, directly supporting the welfare of soldiers and their families.
"The inclusion of sand from Gallipoli in each crown created a tangible and meaningful link to our origins that was widely appreciated across the Regiment."
Brigadier David McCammon AM DSM and Bar, Head of Corps, Royal Australian Infantry Corps
