Introducing the Sydney Opera House Watch by Bausele – a Masterpiece of Time

Bausele - Sydney Opera House - Masterpiece - of - time - watch - watches - collaboration - Australia

Nothing says ‘Australia’ like the Sydney Opera House. And nothing celebrates the spirit of Australian innovation like a Bausele watch.

So, when a world-famous architectural masterpiece and an Australian-designed, Swiss-made timepiece come together, you have a Masterpiece of Time.

Celebrating a famous Australian moment

The watch face draws inspiration from Opera House architect Jørn Utzon’s original design sketches, featuring multiple discs that align each day at 2.45pm to reveal his inspired spherical solution. This is the exact time that Queen Elizabeth II opened the Sydney Opera House on 20th October, 1973. This year, we celebrate 45 years since that momentous day.

The jewel in the crown

Inside the crown of every Bausele timepiece is a little piece of Australia. In this case, a crushed-up piece of ceramic tile from the Sydney Opera House itself can be seen. Known as the ‘Sydney Tile’, the tiles were made exclusively for the Opera House by Swedish company Höganäs – only a limited number exist.

Wear your heart on your wrist

Wherever your journey takes you, you’ll always carry a treasured piece of the World Heritage-listed masterpiece with you, to bring back cherished memories of our beautiful Harbour City, and its timeless bastion of the arts.
