Chris Walker: Walk of a Lifetime

Chris Walker’s 2.5million steps for Charity

Former NRL rugby league player Chris Walker has completed his 2.5million step expedition, he walked from Cairns to the Gold Coast to raise money for Charity and raised an amazing $200k in total.

Chris has been utilising his Bausele GT Vintage 2.0 to help him record his daily steps and exercise to ensure he reaches his personal fitness goals as well as his step goals for charity. The Vintage 2.0 is not only tracking his steps but is allowing him to track how many hours of sleep he has each night, to maintain his overall health. It also has kept him connected with his supporters and loved ones, receiving notifications on his watch every time he receives a call or text message.

Chris has covered a brutal 1757 kilometres over 66 days to raise awareness for charities: Beyond Blue, RizeUp Australia and the Alcohol and Drug Foundation. Demand for specialist services offered by all three charities has been at record levels over the past 18 months, due to the mental health challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Walker has partnered with the new charity fundraising platform Fund My Challenge, a challenge-based charity app which has been created to revolutionise the giving process. Chris Walker states “the walk is my way of helping [those affected by COVID-19] fight back and assist those who have felt the impact of poor mental health, suicide, drug and alcohol, and domestic violence abuse.”

We’ve designed the Limited Edition Queenslander Maroons watch to help Chris raise even more for his amazing causes. With every purchase, we will donate $100 to Chris and the great Australian charities behind him.
